I've seen that people enjoy discussing other people's finances. They are interested in your income, savings, assets, auto loan, and even the price of your home. Financial curiosity has somehow become a common topic of discussion, but I don't think it should be.
In actuality, each person's financial journey is unique. While some people start from scratch, others are supported by their family. While some are aiding younger siblings, paying off bills, or supporting parents, others have fewer obligations. You can learn absolutely nothing about someone's true life by looking at their income without knowing their obligations.
Why not use that energy to improve your own money rather than worrying about how much someone else makes? Develop your budgeting skills. Save regularly, even if it's just a little. Learn about investing. Learn new abilities that will make you more valuable. Becoming more financially secure than you were yesterday is the only real financial competition.
People who solely post pictures of their luxurious lifestyles online no longer impress me. Moments, not financial reality, are captured on social media. A luxurious vacation does not reveal a person's debt. The amount of tension they are carrying is hidden by a designer purse. Frequently, what we see is only a portion of the story.
Having options is more important for financial success than being wealthy. It's the capacity to deal with crises without being frightened. It's being there for your parents when they need you. It's accepting opportunities without always monitoring your financial situation. I want to accumulate that kind of fortune.
Thus, allow others to inquire about your pay if they so choose. You owe no one an explanation. Remain disciplined, stay focused, and work quietly toward your own objectives. Your financial success will eventually speak for itself—not because you flaunted it, but rather because you worked hard, patiently, and consistently to build it.
