SUKAU: Sabah UMNO chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has urged the state government and the Public Works Department (JKR) to address worsening road conditions, particularly along the Tawau-Sandakan-Kota Kinabalu route.
Bung described the situation as alarming, claiming 30-40 percent of the roads damaged and riddled with deep potholes. He warned that these conditions pose serious dangers to motorists.
With Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaching, he criticized the government for neglecting existing roads while focusing on the Pan Borneo Highway project.
He also compared the slow road repairs under the current administration to the more immediate fixes during UMNO’s rule.
Calling the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government a "failure", he urged the public to demand better governance.
