Kota Kinabalu: Bung lashed out at former Petagas Assemblyman Datuk James Ligunjang for trying to link Sabah Umno to the “Allah” socks and KK Mart bombing issues.
“Sabah Umno is not affected by these issues. But I saw the statement by Ligunjang linking the KK Mart issue with Sabah Umno and urging the people of Sabah to reject Sabah Umno in the next elections.
I am also laughing at him. Why suddenly after 25 years of not appearing in public, suddenly can comment like that and link it (the issues) with Sabah Umno, labelling us as extremists?
“Everybody knows that Sabah Umno is not extremist about religion and race. Like me, actually every day I am with non-Muslims, we eat together, work together.

“Those things happened in the peninsula, don’t bring it here. Sabah is peaceful, we can be together, regardless of race and religion.
The issue has nothing to do with Sabah Umno so don’t listen to him,” he said.
