Burnley are looking to snatch Aston Villa starlet Caleb Chukwuemeka before the transfer window closes.
Caleb is the older brother of 18-year-old Carney, who left for Chelsea this summer.
He signed for the club for £300,000 from Northampton last season, making three appearances.
According to the Daily Mail, Villa boss Steven Gerrard is willing to sell Caleb after Carney's departure.
Vincent Kompany's Burnley are now considering a bid for the midfielder to bolster their squad.
In addition, several League One clubs want to bring him in as well as a first-team regular, while Burnley would want him as a rotation option.
