Southampton are moving for Olympique Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car.
Southampton have agreed to let centre-back Jan Bednarek join Aston Villa - and have already lined up his replacement in Caleta-Car, reports journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Croatian international was a £23m target for Liverpool 18 months, but that move failed to materialise.
However, the 25-year-old is now ready to make the switch to the Premier League, and it means that Saints can cash in one of their first team regulars.
Bednarek has been almost ever-presents since Ralph Hasenhuttl took charge at St Mary's in 2018, but will now head to Villa Park to help bolster Steven Gerrard's defence.
