Kota Kinabalu: During Sabah’s Harvest Festival, the Unduk Ngadau is one of the highlights of the attractions.
It celebrates the Huminodun legend (a tribute to the maiden who sacrificed herself for rice).
There is another contest for male talents which is not that well known.
Nevertheless, this year, a bus is seen with livery to promote this lesser known male contest known as Randawi Tavantang Kaamatan, or known as Mr Kaamatan serving as the male counterpart to the more famous Unduk Ngadau female beauty pageant to highlight the contest.
