SIPITANG: Cherlos Lusar emerged champion of the Sipitang Buvazoi Tavantang Kaamatan (BTK) 2025 competition, defeating five other contestants at the event held in the Multipurpose Hall here on Saturday.
Cherlos brought home a cash prize of RM1, 500, the traditional sigah headdress, a sash, certificate and other prizes.
First runner-up Naigel Uno received RM1, 000, while second runner-up Sebastian Suipin was awarded RM800, both also receiving sashes, certificates and additional prizes.

As champion, Cherlos will represent Sipitang at the State-level competition.
Prizes were presented by Raimey Abdul Rahman, representing Sipitang District Officer and Celebration Committee Chairman Abdul Karim AM Zahari, alongside Sipitang KDCA Chairman Francis Japulis.
The ceremony concluded with last year’s champion, Jeffry Jumenik, symbolically passing the sigah victory headdress to Cherlos.
