Kota Kinabalu: Buyers are prioritising flood-free homes following flooding issues in many parts of Malaysia. Prioritising location when purchasing property is their main concern.

“With many losing out through flood and landslide damaged homes, it is evident that these natural disasters have made a lasting impact, as in the PropertyGuru.com.my Malaysia Consumer Sentiment Study H2 2022.

“Some 66 per cent of the respondents said they are willing to pay a higher insurance premium on their property for climate change effects as nobody foresees their home being struck by a flood or any natural disaster,” said Property Guru Country Manager Sheldon.
