The driver of a BYD Seal involved in a six-vehicle crash which left two injured and killed a five-year-old girl was slapped with several charges at the Kuala Lumpur magistrate’s court today.
Earlier this morning, Raeven Goh Wey Haur was escorted to court under heavy police and media presence.

Charges
Goh was charged under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing Asiah Ahmad Syahir’s death by reckless or dangerous driving, Section 42(1) for reckless and dangerous driving, and Section 52(1) for failing to stop and report an accident.
He told magistrate Aliaa Anwar that he understood the charges before pleading not guilty to all of them, reported NST.
After hearing submissions from both the prosecution and defence regarding bail conditions, Goh was granted bail at RM36,000.

However, he was ordered to surrender his passport and have his driving licence temporarily suspended with immediate effect until the case is disposed.
The crash, which went viral on social media, showed the BYD Seal first colliding with a motorcyclist before slamming into the rear of a Perodua Bezza along Jalan Kuching and fleeing the scene on Oct 10.
Due to the impact, the Bezza spun into the right lane and crashed into a Nissan Almera, a Toyota Alphard and a Perodua Myvi.

The Bezza driver and motorcyclist suffered injuries to the hand and head respectively, while the girl, who was seated in the backseat of the Bezza, sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
