West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has handed in a transfer request.

As Sevilla try to hammer out a deal, the Daily Mail reports that Hernandez is doing what he can to speed up talks.

He reportedly travelled to Spain yesterday to agree personal terms, with Hammers chiefs holding out for 8million.

Hernandez spent five years at Manchester United after arriving from his homeland in 2010.

He scored several key goals for the Red Devils before moving to Bayer Leverkusen after a short spell on loan at Real Madrid.
