Jose Mourinho wanted to sell Anthony Martial when in charge of Manchester United, it has been revealed.
The Times says the Portuguese had two issues with Martial during his time in charge at Old Trafford.
It is said he thought the France international was 'mentally weak'.
Mourinho tried every trick in the book to motivate the United star and, at times, the message seemed to sink in.
Consistency has always been an issue for Martial, though, and he failed to deliver for Mourinho on a regular basis.
A second issue the former United manager had with the 23-year-old was that he believed him to be a sulker.
