KOTA BHARU – Pas Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan describes the Cabinet reshuffle carried out by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as showing that the unity government is less effective.
He said this was because the process was carried out after one year of Anwar governing the country.
"It means that the previous Cabinet lineup was less effective because the reshuffle was done within a year.
"Hopefully after this it will be more effective, that is our hope," he said during a press conference on Thursday.
He had earlier attended the 2023 ‘Kelantanku Bersih’ celebration ceremony which was officiated by the Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud here.
The Kota Bharu Member of Parliament said that Pas wanted the government to keep its promise to defend the people, including the size of the Cabinet as announced.
He said the opposition hoped the government would walk their talks and those chosen to be in the Cabinet would perform their duties as best as possible.
