Indiana Fever general manager Amber Cox had a perfectly understandable reaction after Caitlin Clark added another record to her growing list of WNBA achievements.

Clark has made a habit of breaking records since entering the league, but this one stands out because of how quickly she reached it.

It is not just another line in her stat sheet. Clark set a new mark at a pace that is hard to wrap your head around.

Cox’s response came after Clark set the league record for career 20-point, 10-assist games in a way that was anything but straightforward.

Clark’s performance against the Washington Mystics was first recorded as 32 points and eight assists. But a stat correction later gave her 10 assists, making it her 11th career game with at least 20 points and 10 assists.

That bumped her past Courtney Vandersloot’s previous record of 10, and made Cox’s reaction all the more fitting.

Caitlin Clark reaching this mark in 56 games feels unbelievable

The record itself is impressive, but it is how fast she got there that really stands out.

Clark reached her 11th 20-point, 10-assist game in just her 56th WNBA appearance. That is what makes this more than just another entry in the history books.

Vandersloot set the old mark over the course of hundreds of games. Clark passed it before she had even played 60.

And she did not stop there. In her 57th game, Clark tallied 21 points and 10 assists against Seattle, extending the record even further.

That is why reactions like Cox’s keep rolling in. Clark is not just breaking records. She is doing it fast enough that it still does not feel real.
