California tech exec hits back at mockery over her viral list of dating ‘non-negotiables’

A Silicon Valley tech executive went viral — and faced a mountain of mockery — after sharing her list of dating “non-negotiables.”

Brooke LeBlanc, an executive at the tech company Corgi, faced an onslaught of backlash after she asked her nearly 37,000 followers on X on Friday, ‘Who wants to co-found the rest of my life with me?”

LeBlanc then listed out her requirements for her future partner, noting he must be “healthy masculine,” “smart, funny, lighthearted,” and “post-economic (still hardworking).”

He must also be between 35 and 42, “kind, generous, thoughtful,” and “on the healing path.” She also noted that she strongly prefers a man who works in tech and does not have kids — but wants them someday.

LeBlanc’s post quickly blew up, gaining nearly 5 million views and media attention — while also shedding light on the harsh realities of modern dating.

“I can’t imagine anything worse than being single and dating in SF,” one X user commented.

“And they say romance is dead,” another commenter joked.

“Everything is an HR recruiter job posting now,” another user noted.

“Anyone like this is already married and not interested in a woman who posts a laundry list of dating requirements on social media,” one X user commented.

While some X users were critical of LeBlanc’s desires in a partner, others were quick to come to her defense.

“Why is it ok for a man to say 24/7 he wants a big butt and DDD chest but as soon as a woman says what she wants for nest building that’s illegal? This is biology,” one user responded to the viral post.

Another social media user simply noted: “Eventually you realize that all the single people have lists and all those happily coupled up think lists are funny.”

LeBlanc responded to the backlash, writing, “God forbid a woman asks for what she wants.”

“Sorry, I don’t want to date a loser!” she added.

She later noted that “years of dating experience” inspired her to make the list.

“Getting bullied on the Internet today, so I can be a financially free hot mom in the future,” she added.
