Kota Kinabalu: The Papar Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Hokkien Association secured sponsorship of 18 torches through the Papar leg of the 38th National Chinese Cultural Festival 2023 Torch Run to raise funds for six religious bodies and Chinese schools in the district.
The torch run will be held on July 1 (Saturday) in Papar.
Papar Chinese Chamber of Commerce President Cheoh High Weal and Papar Hokkien Association President Tan Chuan Wah thanked the local business community and individuals for their generosity in their support towards efforts in preserving and promoting Chinese culture.
