PUTATAN: The Sabah Dairy Farmers Association has sent a SOS to the Government, especially the Agriculture and Food Industries Ministry, to help save the dairy industry in the State which is fast becoming a sunset industry due mainly to the rising costs.
Its President Datuk Yap Yun Fook said there are less than 30 dairy farmers in Sabah now and the number is expected to dwindle further.
“I have been the President of the Association since 2000 till today. Previously, we had hundreds of dairy farmers in Sabah but less than 30 now.
