SHAH ALAM - In conjunction with the upcoming Karnival Rakyat Karangkraf 2024, scheduled to take place from July 26 to 28, SinarPlus will host a variety of programmes to attract visitors to their booth.
One of the highlights is the 'Mencari Siti' programme, a unique event aimed at gathering as many women named 'Siti' as possible on the second day of the carnival.
According to Sinar Harian Executive Lifestyle Editor Meen Tahrin, the name 'Siti' was chosen because it has a classic sound and has been commonly used for Malay women in the past.
"Even today, many still use the name Siti for their daughters. So, we hope this program will bring together many 'Sitis' of various ages.
"To make this gathering special, we will hold competitions such as folding clothes neatly, separating rice and mung beans quickly, peeling onions, and more.
"At the end of the program, we will determine the best 'Siti' among the participants. The winner will have the chance to take home cash prizes up to RM700 along with other accompanying prizes," Meen said.
