FOR the second time, the Caloocan City government obtained an unmodified opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) on its 2025 financial statements for transparency and accuracy.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan said that the latest COA recognition affirms the fair presentation of the city government’s financial position and compliance with accounting and ethical standards.
“COA’s unmodified opinion highlights the city government’s commitment to transparency and accountability, which the dedication and competence of the City Hall workers made possible,” Malapitan said.
He expressed gratitude to the commission for the positive assessment of the city’s fund use.
“This recognition reflects our sustained dedication to managing the city’s funds with order and accountability,” the city chief executive said.
An unmodified opinion is the highest audit opinion COA may issue, indicating that the financial statements are presented in accordance with applicable government accounting standards.
The Caloocan mayor reiterated that the local government upholds transparency and ensures public resources are used effectively for programs and services that benefit residents.
“My administration will continue to strengthen a government rooted in integrity and compassion for every Caloocan resident,” he said.
