Cam Young trails Alex Fitzpatrick by two shots heading into the final round of the Truist Championship on Sunday.
Kristoffer Reitan is sandwiched in between the two on 13-under par, after shooting 64 at Quail Hollow on Saturday.
At one point it looked like Young would be paired with his former Wake Forest teammate, Fitzpatrick, in the final group at the Truist on Sunday.
However, Reitan threw a spanner in the works by birdying four of his final six holes at the Truist Championship on Saturday, to trail Alex Fitzpatrick by one and lead Cam Young by the same margin.

Alex Fitzpatrick was a huge admirer of Cam Young’s golf game while he was a Freshman and Young was a Senior at college.
And the Englishman will surely be even more impressed by the 28-year-old New Yorker’s game now.
It seems like the feeling is very much mutual.
Whether Cam Young wanted final round pairing with Alex Fitzpatrick
Young and Fitzpatrick are two of the hottest golfers on the planet right now.
No disrespect at all to Reitan, but it’s a shame really that they won’t be paired together on Sunday in Charlotte.
After he finished his third round, Young responded when asked by reporters whether he would like to play alongside Fitzpatrick in the final group at Quail Hollow on Sunday.
“Yeah, he’s a friend,“ Young said.
“We don’t talk a ton because he’s busy in Europe and I’m mostly over here. Texted him after he won the other day the first time and the second time.

“But, yeah, we’re very friendly. A pairing with him tomorrow would be a lot of fun. Seeing him out here it’s like no time has passed between seeing him in college and now.
“Great kid and great to see him playing well. I would love to play with him tomorrow.“
Young will fancy his chances of catching Fitzpatrick on Sunday at the Truist, but given the Englishman’s current form, the 29-year-old American will most likely have to go very low if he is to secure his fourth PGA Tour win.
Alex Fitzpatrick’s game is in great shape at the Truist Championship
Fitzpatrick, 27, made eight birdies and a solitary bogey during his third round at Quail Hollow on Saturday.
His short game has been truly exceptional this week, and the same can be said for his iron play.
The man from Sheffield, England, is ranked 1st in strokes gained approach and 6th in strokes gained around the green this week.
His putting has also been pretty solid, and he’s ranked 19th on the greens at Quail Hollow.
However, his driving hasn’t been as good as he would have liked. He has actually lost strokes on the field and is ranked 42 in strokes gained off the tee this week.
If he is to win his second PGA Tour title, he will most likely have to improve in that department on Sunday.
It should be a seriously exciting shootout at the Truist Championship on Sunday, with Cam Young looking to chase down Alex Fitzpatrick, and with talented Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan in the mix as well.
