Former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello was impressed by Stefano Pioli's work in their Champions League win against Newcastle United.
Milan won 2-1 at St James' Park to qualify for the Europa League.
Capello said: "The match turned because the substitutes came in forcefully, with determination.
"Milan were physically superior, but they were also good tactically in the first part because they didn't leave any spaces.
"I liked Pioli's management, it was a really good match from the Rossoneri. They showed that they had a good condition, it's a shame for (Rafael) Leao that he didn't have a good physical condition, he wasn't even at 80%."
