Israel Adesanya and Carlos Ulberg built their reputations as two of the most recognisable figures from the New Zealand gym City Kickboxing.
Ulberg was frequently seen alongside Adesanya during his peak years, with their connection forming a visible part of the 35-year-old’s rise through the sport.
However, recent developments have raised questions about their relationship, particularly following Ulberg’s title-winning performance at UFC 327.
Israel Adesanya absence and social media clues fuel Carlos Ulberg feud speculation

Speculation has grown online that Ulberg and Adesanya may no longer be on good terms, with several details drawing attention from fans.
The two fighters no longer follow each other on Instagram, while Adesanya did not travel to Miami to support Ulberg during his title fight against Jiri Prochazka.
He also did not post any public message congratulating Ulberg after the victory, something that many expected given their long-standing connection.
Beyond that, ‘The Last Stylebender’ has not reacted to UFC 327 yet, as he usually does on his YouTube channel after big cards.
The situation stands out further as Saturday’s event marked the first numbered event Ulberg has fought on without Adesanya also appearing on the card.
In his previous four appearances at numbered events, each card had been headlined by Adesanya, highlighting how closely their careers had been linked.
The contrast in their current trajectories has only intensified the discussion, with Ulberg riding a 10-fight win streak and now holding the light heavyweight title.
At the same time, Adesanya is enduring a difficult period, having lost his last four fights.
