THE CARLSBERG GOLF CLASSIC (CGC) returns for its 33rd edition, reaffirming its position as one of Malaysia’s longest-running golf tournaments with 30 qualifying rounds nationwide and more than RM2.7 million worth of prizes up for grabs.
Running from July to October, the annual tournament began with its opening leg at Sungai Petani Golf Club on 4 July, marking the start of a nationwide competition involving golfers from across the country.
This year’s qualifying rounds will be held at 30 golf clubs nationwide, comprising 16 clubs in the Central region, three in the Northern region, seven in the Southern region and four in East Malaysia.
The Nett and Gross winners from each qualifying round will progress to the National Finals, with further details to be announced at a later date.

Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Stefano Clini said the tournament has continued to serve as a platform for the golfing community to connect through sportsmanship, friendship and a shared passion for the game.
“For over three decades, Carlsberg Golf Classic has stood as a platform that brings the golfing community together – going beyond the game to celebrate the shared passion, friendship and the drive to always be better.
“It truly embodies our Semper Ardens spirit, which means ‘Always Burning’, always striving for excellence, both on and off the green.
“From the first drive to the final putt, we remain committed to creating a #BestWithCarlsberg platform that welcomes and celebrates sportsmanship and passion for the game from across the community,” he said.
Beyond the competition, participants will also be able to enjoy a selection of beverages throughout the tournament season, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, Carlsberg Smooth Draught, Connor’s, 1664 Blanc and non-alcoholic brew Somersby Apple 0.0 at participating clubs.
The tournament’s prize lineup includes premium rewards across qualifying rounds and the National Finals, led by Auto Bavaria (BMW), which is offering two BMW 320i models worth RM293,471 each as Hole-in-One prizes at the National Finals.
Other participating partners, including adidas, TaylorMade and Garmin, will provide performance-driven prizes designed to enhance golfers’ experiences on and off the course.
Vespa will also offer Hole-in-One prizes during selected qualifying rounds and the National Finals, while Le Botanical will contribute sun care products for participants.
Carlsberg Malaysia said CGC 2026 aims to provide golfers of all levels with an opportunity to challenge themselves, improve their game and compete for exclusive rewards.
Golfers interested in participating can register through the respective golf clubs hosting the qualifying rounds.
The public can also follow @CarlsbergMalaysia on Facebook and Instagram for tournament updates and highlights.
Participants and consumers are reminded to celebrate responsibly. If you drink, do not drive.
