KUALA LUMPUR - Seven Harimau Malaya players are back in action after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) granted a stay of execution on FIFA’s 12‑month suspension.
FAM, in a Facebook statement, confirmed the ruling.
“This decision means that the 12‑month suspension from all football‑related activities imposed by FIFA on the seven Harimau Malaya players has been temporarily suspended.
They are allowed to continue their careers and take part in any football‑related activities until a final decision on the appeal at CAS is made.”
The players — Garcés, Holgado, Machuca, Figueiredo, Palmero, Irazabal and Hevel — had been sidelined over alleged document falsification. - January 27, 2026
