
PENAMPANG: Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang is providing cash assistance, 800 school bags and free haircut to needy students in her constituency under her Back to School programme.
Some 160 students from eight schools, including two secondary schools, received cash assistance and school bags during the programme held at Taman Nosoob hall, Friday.
Jannie said the Back to School programme, which was aimed at helping needy families with schooling children, also offers free haircut for the first 500 students at five barbershops.
They include two barbershops in Donggongon, one in the Beverly Hills, one in Penampang Baru and one in the Kepayan Rumah Murah area which will start next week from Jan 23 to Feb 4, said Jannie.

“This donation aimed to provide relief to individuals who are ill, offering them support, motivation and inspiration in managing their health or pursuing their life goals,” she said.
Also present were Penampang Parliament Office representative Richard Chong, Community Development Officer Kenneth Wong and Jainuddin Haji Ab Rashid, Mukim Developer from the UPPM N25 Kapayan Office as well as officers from the Kapayan Assemblywoman’s Office.
