Missing for two years, this cat had given his family no sign of life. Until, one day, he made a surprise return.
Sian Elise Williams still can't believe her eyes.
The young woman, who lives in Oxfordshire, South East England, lost her charming blue cat named Nev in May 2022.
Never losing hope
She searched for him relentlessly, regularly posting photographs and descriptions of her pet in a local Facebook group for lost and found animals. But sadly, no one ever provided a clue that could lead to finding the cat.
Despite this, Sian Elise never lost hope. Inexplicably, she had a feeling that she would find him one day, and it turns out she was right.
A mysterious reappearance
On the evening of 20th May 2024, Sian Elise Williams was taking her bin out late at night when she noticed a shadow in the dark little street, just a few steps from her front door. Realising it was a cat, she instinctively called out the name "Nev", having never given up on the idea that her cat might one day return.
The cat immediately headed straight for the young woman, meowing, and seemed to recognise her. The two old friends shared a big cuddle, quickly realising they had finally been reunited.
As shocked as she was happy, Sian Elise Williams immediately shared the news in the Oxfordshire lost pets Facebook group, thanking everyone who had previously helped with her search.
Although Nev's appearance has changed slightly and he has a more timid personality than before, he seems to have recognised his family. Let's hope he doesn't decide to run off again.
