We’ve all worried about our luggage being mishandled during a flight, but a recent viral video has taken those fears to a new level.

A Cathay Pacific staff member has been removed from her position after she was caught on video throwing luggage down a flight of stairs.

The TikTok video, which has nearly 260,000 views, shows the woman in a Cathay Pacific vest carelessly tossing suitcases with apparent indifference.

The 15-second clip begins with her picking up a light-coloured suitcase and hurling it down approximately 10 steps, where it lands in a heap of other bags seemingly treated the same way.

She continues with a dark-coloured suitcase and then throws two more suitcases simultaneously.

The clip ends with her walking away, leaving the luggage in a disorganised pile.

Online reactions have varied, with some viewers expressing shock at the rough treatment of passengers’ belongings, while others questioned why proper machinery wasn’t used for handling the luggage.
