Unfortunately, under the beaming south London sun, Swan fell short against the United States's Madison Keys, who ran out victorious 6-1, 6-4.
Catherine could be seen cheering the Briton on and putting her hands to her mouth in exasperation as the 27-year-old, who cruised through the first round earlier in the week, struggled to play her best tennis.
The Princess of Wales, dazzling in a mid-blue Gabriela Hearst trouser suit featuring the designer's Stephanie blazer, paired with a white top underneath, chatted and laughed with Murray, who is known for his dry humour.
