CCTVs installed at 24 Kampung Likas hotspots

Kota Kinabalu: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Darau Division has installed closed circuit cameras (CCTVs) at 24 hotspots in Kampung Likas.

Gagasan Rakyat Darau Chief Datuk Mohamed Razali Razi said the installation was intended to help increase the level of security, especially for residents.

Advertisement“We have already started this CCTV installation initiative at the beginning of January where we have installed phase 1 in Kampung Cenderamata 1.

“This CCTV installation process has been carried out with the cooperation of Gagasan Rakyat Branch members together with local leaders and I thank them for their cooperation and commitment to help improve security in the villages involved,” he said in a statement.

Read more Additionally, CCTVs have been installed in Kampung Likas Lama, the junction near SK Likas, Jalan Muhibbah, Kampung Cenderamata 2, Lorong Lengkok, Lorong Diak Likas Lama and Kampung Cempaka.

Razali, a Likas native, added that the installation of CCTV will indirectly help improve the level of security from various angles.

He also explained that the installation of CCTV will continue not only in the Likas area but in the entire Darau area.
