CEBU Pacific Air (CEB) announced the arrival of its 15th Airbus A330neo on Saturday, noting the aircraft would reinforce its position as the largest wide-body operator in Asia.
The aircraft arrived in Manila from the Airbus facility in Toulouse, France, the carrier’s fourth aircraft delivery and first wide-body delivery for CEB this year.
”The delivery of our 15th A330neo aircraft is an important milestone for Cebu Pacific as we continue to build a more modern fleet,” CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao said in a statement.
”The A330neo offers significant fuel savings compared to previous-generation aircraft and gives us the flexibility to serve different markets across and beyond the Philippines,” he added.
The low-cost airline expects to receive a total of seven new aircraft in 2026. The latest wide-body addition increases the share of new-generation aircraft to 78 percent of Cebu Pacific’s jet fleet, supporting its target to operate an all-NEO fleet by 2030.
According to CEB, the newer engines burn 15 percent to 20 percent less fuel per flight with reduced noise emissions.
Cebu Pacific currently operates a fleet consisting of 15 Airbus A330s, 27 A321s, 38 A320s and 20 ATR turboprop aircraft.
