Get ready for more drama and deceit in the Scottish Highlands – the 2026 series of The Celebrity Traitors will be hitting our screens next week.
Claudia Winkleman (along with her covetable wardrobe) is returning to play her “favourite game”, as a fresh batch of celebrities take their seats at the round table.
This year’s cast has a lot to live up to. From Joe Marler’s sleuthing to Alan Carr flying under the radar, to fan-favourite Celia Imrie caterwauling into a well (and generally being iconic), the 2025 series delivered plenty of memorable moments.
If you’re a fan of the show and have found yourself wondering how you’d fare as a faithful or if you’d be able to rock a floor-length cloak, the second edition of The Traitors board game has been released, so you can put your poker face and detective skills to the test.

Celebrity Traitors start date 2026
The second series of The Celebrity Traitors kicks off on BBC One at 8pm on Thursday 1 October, with the second episode airing at 8pm on Friday 2 October. Subsequent episodes will then continue to air on Thursdays and Fridays each week.

This year, The Traitors castle will see another 21 celebrities whispering in quiet corners while trying to suss out who is a true ‘hundy’.
The full lineup consists of comedians James Acaster, Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan; actors Bella Ramsey, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Myha’la, Richard E Grant, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney; journalist Amol Rajan; singers James Blunt and Leigh-Anne Pinnock; media personalities King Kenny and Maya Jama; model Jerry Hall; and mathematician Professor Hannah Fry.
Each will be playing for the chance to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

The Traitors: Second Edition
Making it into Sarah Dawson’s review of the best family board games, The Traitors: Second Edition takes you through missions, banishments and murder, as you and your fellow players try to uncover who is the traitor.
“We played this with fans of The Traitors and those who’d never watched it before,” says Sarah. “While those familiar with the TV show definitely found the game easier to understand, lack of prior knowledge of The Traitors didn’t affect the fun we all had.”
The game comes with a ‘round table’ playing board, voting stands, blindfolds and ‘gold’ pieces. You will, however, have to provide your own Highland-punk attire, à la Winkleman, if you really want to get into the spirit of things.
“There are six different adventures you can play, as well as the option to buy an expansion pack when you’ve worked your way through them all,” explains Sarah. “I think this is perfect for proper games nights or a Traitors-themed party.”
