Celta Vigo midfielder Denis Suarez is signing for Espanyol today.
The former Barcelona trainee is returning to Cataluyna after a difficult two years in Vigo where he clashed with president Carlos Mourino.
Suarez will join Espanyol for an initial 200,000, with bonuses included should they stay up.
Onda Cero says he had met with Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli in recent days and was warming to returning to his old club before finally choosing to join Espanyol.
There is hope he will be with Espanyol today for a medical and to join coach Diego Martinez for a first training session.
