Sherwood Forest’s Center Parcs holiday resort is launching a new open-air entertainment space in time for summer.
The holiday company said its new experience, Forest Summer Social, will launch on 25 May, running until 31 August at its Nottinghamshire location.
Set in the Woodland Garden area of the park, Center Parcs guests will be able to enjoy a mix of entertainment, street food and family-friendly activities.
At the heart of the space is an outdoor cinema, which will stream family favourite films such as Mamma Mia, Frozen, The Greatest Showman and A Minecraft Movie.
Guests can book ahead for selected showings at an additional cost, with a deckchair, popcorn and a drink included, or families can join with their own picnic blanket.
The screen will also broadcast major live sporting events, including the World Cup, Grand Prix, Wimbledon and the Commonwealth Games.

The area is designed to make the most of the longer summer days by giving park guests an area to socialise and enjoy the entertainment.
Refreshments will be on offer at an additional cost from the Summer Social Kitchen, which Center Parcs describes as serving relaxed street food. Drinks will be available at the bar, sponsored by Aspall cider.
There will be a lot to keep children entertained too, with the Forest Craft Room supplying drop-in creative activities, while the Family Nature Quest encourages kids to discover more about the forest.
The interactive “Light Up The Forest” experience will allow guests to power up treetop illuminations using bicycles.
