Kota Kinabalu: The Penampang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI) paid a courtesy call on Penampang MP Datuk Ewon Benedick and the Kadazandusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) recently.During the visit, PCCCI President Victor Kou, who led the delegation, proposed to Ewon to set up a Penampang Industrial Park and shared ecotourism and agriculture ideas to further develop Penampang. Victor also requested for a suitable land in Penampang to be designated as a “Cemetery for Penampang Citizens”, while also suggesting the installation of CCTVs along the roads in Penampang for the district’s safety. PCCCI also took the opportunity to invite Ewon to be the Guest of Honour at the Chamber’s 12th Installation Night this August. On the visit to KCCI, Victor said it was vital for both chambers to get to know each other and collaborate in business development for Penampang in the future. Both the chamber’s presidents pledged to join forces and address commerce issues in Penampang.
