LABUAN: The Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) hopes the new Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim-led Federal Government will remove the strangle on Labuan by restoring the island’s duty-free status to its original state.

Its Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii, who described Anwar as the right choice of Prime Minister by the Agong, said:

“Anwar had held the posts of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister and has a good understanding of the island".
