Kamya Kumari scored two points to lead after round 2 of the Chandigarh State Women’s Chess Championship being held at Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Sector 27. At the end of round 2, Kamya was closely followed by Aayra Singh, Rishika Mishra, Shereen Makroo, and Jiaana Garg with 1.5 points each. A total of 11 players are participating in this championship, organised by the Chandigarh Chess Association.

Top four women will be selected to represent Chandigarh at the National Women’s Chess Championship-2026 to be held in Telangana from November 18 to 28. Precious Bansal, Dusicka Yumlembam, Manya Gupta and Aayra Sharma scored one-point each,
