Kota Kinabalu: The Pertubuhan Muafakat Titipan Amal Isteri Wakil Rakyat Sabah (Mutiara-GRS) provided assistance to 50 members of the Tanjung Aru Community-Based Rehabilitation Organisation (PPDK) during a charitable visit (pic).
The visit was led by Mutiara-GRS Chairperson Datin Seri Juliah Salag, who presented a RM1,000 donation to help fund part of PPDK Tanjung Aru’s operational needs.
Following the PPDK visit, Juliah travelled to Kampung Ulu, Putatan, to visit the family of a road accident victim.
She met with the widow, Siti Zulaihah Bakir, and three of the seven children left behind after the fatal accident that happened on Aug 3 at Km 121, near Takala Mosque, Kampung Paris 1.
The bereaved family received emergency assistance totalling RM1,000, including food baskets and disposable diapers.
