
PENAMPANG: Parents in Sabah who have schooling children can buy cheaper school items until Feb 16 following implementation of 243 series of Madani Rahmah Sales Program (PJRM) ‘Back to School’ 2025 nationwide.
Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said in Sabah there are 31 series of the programme in which 24, as of Feb 8, have been carried out.

Of the 243 series nationwide, he said 101 series have been implemented in the country, as of Feb 8, 2025.

He added that the ‘Back To School’ programme is one of the improvements under the existing PJRM so that it is more extensive and meets the needs of the target group.
Advertisement“This program aims to ease the burden of the target group, especially parents, in buying their children’s school supplies ahead of the start of the school session.
“A total of 174 supermarkets, clothing stores and shopping centers are involved in the program which is implemented nationwide from Jan 18 until Feb 16.
Advertisement“This program also offers 45 to 70 stock keeping units (SKU) or types of school goods with various brands,” he said.
Armizan said this to reporters after officiating the PJRM ‘Back To School’, at the ITCC Shopping Mall, here on Sunday.
He also presented coupons for food baskets to 100 schooling children at the event.
He said the remaining of the series of the programme will be continued to ensure the goals and benefits will be enjoyed by the local communities in Sabah.
“Therefore, I welcome the public to take advantage of this program, and get more information by checking the KPDN website for information on the implementation of this program in their respective areas,” Armizan said.
In this regard, he said, a series of such programs will likely be added in the future following the overwhelming response from the community, especially the target groups.
Also present were KPDN Sabah Director Shahril Nizam bin Shahidin, Malaysia Companis Commission (SSM) Sabah director Mohd Aris Hamzah and Institut Kerjasama Kerajaan dan Rakyat (IKRAR) Director Azrul bin Ibrahim under Chief Minister’s Department.
