Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has appealed for more time and patience from the supporters.

The Blues appear to have hit yet another speed bump in their recovery from a poor start to the season.

Despite looking improved at the start of October, they lost 2-0 to Brentford at the weekend at Stamford Bridge.

Post-game, Pochettino had a message for the fans: I think it's to be with us. I know it is difficult to keep your feelings but it is normal. The fans want to win and sometimes are frustrated when we don't win. The message is to believe and trust in us and in the end it is about the process."

He then stated on the club's loss of form after a good pre-season: Not fair to talk because so many details happen and you need always some luck.

One of the situations was the injury to [Christopher] Nkunku, we wanted him to provide goals and help the team.

Like the games, we created chances and we played well but didn't get what we deserved. The circumstances are the circumstance. We cannot complain but I think we deserve more if we talk about our performance. We need to be more aggressive. In the last game, in chances we were better than Brentford, they play with the block very low and counter attack, the first half they didn't create. We need to be more aggressive."
