Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino admits the club need to ensure the fans stay onside.
The Blues are in midtable in the Premier League despite a summer of mega investment.
Asked about the fans being more patient, Pochettino told reporters: We cannot say nothing to the fans. They react how they feel and we cannot blame them. If we are not playing well it is normal we are getting criticized from them."
On ensuring the players are ready for the tough atmosphere of a top Premier League club, he added: In adversity you can build something special, it will revive everyone this unfair decision and make stronger. We are going to find really tough atmosphere and if you want to perform in Premier League we need to deal with this."
On the club being worse off than last season, he finished: It's a process where it is difficult to put the date. It always takes time. We know what we want and after you need also some luck to keep the players fit or involved, to increase the competition between them until we find this momentum.
We need to stay calm, keep pushing because we are so close, we didn't have the luck we deserve. Too many teams were winning games when they didn't deserve but for us it is to deserve and be better and be more clinical. Some time to build confidence and trust but we are going to keep pushing."
