Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly attended training at Cobham on Friday.

The Daily Mail says Boehly was spotted greeting several players and speaking to the former Brighton boss ahead of Chelsea's clash with Wolves on Saturday.

The billionaire American businessman and investor has been a visible presence at the club since he led the consortium that completed a £4.25billion takeover of the Premier League club at the end of May.

Boehly has been acting as interim sporting director for the London side and oversaw £270m worth of spending on new players during the summer transfer window and sacked manager Thomas Tuchel amid a shaky opening to the season.

This followed the departure of several long-serving backroom staff including former chairman Bruce Buck, director and transfers chief Marina Granovskaia, technical and performance director Petr Cech and international head of scouting Scott McLachlan have all left as well.

Boehly's visit to the training ground comes after reports broke that Christopher Vivell will join Chelsea as their new technical director, just hours after it announced that he had dismissed from the same role with RB Leipzig.
