Chelsea fullback Marc Cucurella was proud to be part of the defence that earned a clean sheet in yesterday's 0-0 draw at Liverpool.
Liverpool had scored at least once in each of their previous 32 home league games. The last time a team had shut them out was back in March 2021.
"A clean sheet is very important because it wins you confidence and because then it is more easy to win the game," Cucurella told chelseafc.com after the match.
"We could not score but we played well together and I think this is the way, because we attack together and we defend together.
"We created chances to maybe score one goal and win the three points but the most important is the work of the team. It is always difficult to play at Anfield but we had a lot of personality and the team worked really well."
On new teammate Mykhaylo Mudryk, Cucurella added: "He is very good, very fast, and he played really good after training for one or two days.
"I think the new players have a lot of energy to play for this club."
