Chelsea fullback Ian Maatsen has enjoyed a first preseason under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Maatsen struck twice in their preseason win against Wrexham.
On Pochettino, he said: "Yes, I think so. I think he will benefit this club. He knows what to do and I hope he can make it happen. We also want to do it for him.
"Sometimes it is really tough but you can see we are fitter now so it has been good.
"It is quite a bit of running, sometimes it is tough but it is about getting fitter and fitter to be prepared in pre-season so it is worth it."
