Chelsea interim boss Frank Lampard has confirmed Kalidou Koulibaly will be out for their next two games.
The former Napoli defender picked up a muscle injury in a 2-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter final first leg.
Koulibaly, whose departure was a catalyst for the Blues struggling in the game, will be without him for a Premier League clash with Brighton and the return leg against Real.
Lampard said on Koulibaly: "He won't be available for either game. A matter of weeks rather than days.
"He's a very good, very experienced player.
People talk a lot about our squad, Champions League squad is different to Premier League and a disappointment but also an opportunity."
