Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez admits he called Moises Caicedo about making the move this summer.
Caicedo left Brighton for Chelsea, despite intense rival interest from Liverpool.
Enzo recalled: "I called him and told him to accept the offer because Chelsea is a big and ambitious club.
"I thank God for giving me the opportunity to play next to him in Chelsea because we all know how good a player he is, but he is also an amazing person.
"I am grateful that he chose Chelsea."
Caicedo is on a contract to 2031 with the Blues.
