Chelsea are planning a second loan spell for Andrey Santos.
The Athletic says Chelsea will break Santos' loan agreement with Nottingham Forest in January. They have an option to do so.
Forest also are having to pay a penalty for not playing Santos when he is fit.
Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg is showing interest in loaning Santos from January.
Forest manager Steve Cooper has reportedly told Chelsea he believes there'll be more playing time for Santos going forward. However, that's unlikely to dissuade Chelsea recalling the midfielder.
