Chelsea physio Jose Calvarro has been rehired by co-owner Todd Boehly.
Many players within caretaker manager Frank Lampard's squad had asked for Calvarro to return.
The 43-year-old left after six years at the club as part of Boehly's overhaul of the club.
Per the Evening Standard, the players felt that when Calvarro left, their overall fitness took a nose dive.
The injury issues during manager Graham Potter's reign eventually caused his sacking.
Chelsea also let go long-serving medical chiefs Thierry Laurent and Paco Biosca.
