Chelsea striker Armando Broja has revealed it was his job to take the fifth penalty in the Carabao Cup.
The Blues won 4-2 on penalties after the Magpies missed several of their spot kicks.
Broja was ready to take his penalty to seal the shootout, but did not even have to participate.
The Blues were thankful to backup shot stopper Djordje Petrovic for his heroics, both in the game and in the shootout.
Post-game, he told football.london: "Yeah, I was. I was quite excited actually to be taking.
But Petro [in goal] put on an unbelievable display, so it didn't quite get to me but I was excited to take."
