Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe says they'll rally to support Kieran Trippier after last night's Carabao Cup defeat at Chelsea.
Trippier was at fault for Chelsea's late equaliser and then failed with his penalty in the shootout.
Howe said: "Trips is an incredibly strong character.
"As I've said many times, he's a transformative signing, someone that's taken the group on to a totally different level. He's been the heartbeat of that.
"So when he's given us so much, now it's our turn to support him and look after him, and that's what we'll do."
