The Chelsea striker is out of favor at the Stamford Bridge club and wants to leave immediately.
Lukaku, who is now 30 and an outcast at the Blues, was unable to seal moves to either Milan club or Juventus this summer.
Per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Inter and Manchester United striker is now pursuing a reunion with Jose Mourinho.
The two got along very well during Lukaku's stint at Manchester United, with the Belgian leaving months after Mourinho's sacking.
Chelsea will not make any move cheap, as they are seeking a fee of around 40 million.
