Chelsea and Tottenham are watching Brighton wonderkid Evan Ferguson.

Spurs regard Ferguson as a player who could develop into a potential long-term replacement for Harry Kane, says The Sun.

Goal-shy Chelsea also rate the young striker highly, who was signed by the Seagulls when current Stamford Bridge boss Graham Potter and director of global talent Paul Winstanley were working together at the south coast club.

Ferguson, 18, became Brighton's youngest scorer in the Premier League when he netted against Arsenal on New Year's Eve.

He has added two more goals and two assists in seven appearances for the Seagulls.

Ferguson, already a senior Republic of Ireland international, is also the youngest player from his country to score in the Premier League.
